Quality Manager

Position Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Integrated Circuit Solutions (ICS) Quality Management System (QMS). This role ensures that all products, processes, and operations meet internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable industry regulations (including ISO 9001).
The Quality Manager will oversee daily quality operations across engineering, production, receiving, testing, and shipping to ensure consistent product quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. QMS Management & Compliance
Maintain and continuously improve the ICS Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 standards
Ensure all procedures, policies, and forms (FR series) are controlled, current, and properly implemented
Manage document control, revision tracking, and distribution
Lead internal audits and coordinate external audits (customers, certification bodies)
Ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented and effective
2. Production & Operational Quality Oversight
- Oversee quality control activities in production and assembly (low voltage and medium voltage equipment)
- Ensure QA/QC checklists (FR-008A & FR-008B) are properly executed and documented
- Monitor workmanship standards, testing procedures, and final inspections
- Drive accountability for quality at every stage of manufacturing
3. Nonconformance & Corrective Action
- Manage Nonconformance Reports (FR-002 NCR process)
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- Track trends in defects, failures, and rework
- Ensure timely closure of all quality issues
4. Supplier & Incoming Quality
- Oversee incoming inspection process (FR-009 Receiving / Inspection)
- Evaluate and monitor supplier performance
- Work with procurement to resolve supplier quality issues
- Approve or reject incoming materials based on defined standards
5. Engineering Change & Documentation Control
- Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
- Ensure proper review, approval, and implementation of design changes
- Coordinate with engineering to maintain accurate BOMs, drawings, and specifications
6. Customer Quality & Compliance
- Address customer complaints and warranty issues
- Interface with customers on quality-related matters
- Ensure deliverables meet customer specifications and expectations
- Support project submittals and documentation packages
7. Training & Culture
- Train employees on QMS procedures, quality standards, and best practices
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Ensure all personnel understand their role in maintaining quality
8. Shipping & Final Release
- Ensure final inspection and release processes are followed
- Verify packaging standards to prevent damage during shipping
- Confirm documentation is complete prior to shipment

- First-pass yield in production
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (preferred but not required with experience)
Experience
- 5+ years in quality management within electrical manufacturing or industrial equipment
- Experience with medium voltage / low voltage switchgear or similar equipment preferred
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS

- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
